Patrick Connect Mobile App

Welcome to the Patrick Connect Mobile Application help documentation. This guide provides comprehensive information about all screens and features in the app.

Quick Start

New to the app? Start here:

  1. User Profile Setup - Complete your profile when you first sign up
  2. Home Screen - Your main dashboard for terminal information
  3. Visit Screen - Real-time information during your terminal visit

Main Screens

Authentication

  • Login Screen: Sign in to Patrick Connect with your email and password or Google account (Android)
  • Registration Screen: Create a new Patrick Connect account with email/password or Google account (Android)

Home Screen

  • Home Screen: Your main dashboard showing terminal status, zones, and your next booking

Visit Tab

  • Visit Screen: Real-time visit information, container status, and terminal instructions
  • WIM Screen: Weigh-in-motion data (Port Botany only)

Getting Around the App

Bottom Navigation

The app uses a bottom navigation bar with four main sections:

  1. Home (house icon) - Your dashboard with terminal info and next booking
  2. Visit (location icon) - Active visit details and real-time instructions
  3. Bookings (calendar icon) - All your bookings history and schedule
  4. Profile (person icon) - Account management and settings

Tap any icon to switch between sections.

Bottom Navigation Bar

The bottom navigation bar provides consistent access to the app's primary functions, allowing you to seamlessly transition between your dashboard, active visit information, booking management, and account settings. Each section is clearly identified with intuitive icons, ensuring quick and efficient navigation throughout your terminal operations.

  • Back navigation: Use the back arrow (←) in the top-left to return to previous screens
  • Bottom nav always visible: The bottom navigation stays visible on main screens
  • Tap for details: Tap booking cards, messages, and list items to see more information

Common Tasks

Checking Your Next Booking

  1. Open the app (starts on Home Screen)
  2. Look for the "Next Booking" card
  3. Tap the card to see full booking details

Viewing All Bookings

  1. Tap the Bookings icon (calendar) in bottom navigation
  2. Choose between Upcoming, Completed, or Cancelled
  3. Tap any booking for complete details

During Your Visit

  1. Tap the Visit icon (location) in bottom navigation
  2. Watch the Action Message box for instructions
  3. Monitor container status in the list
  4. Check for lane assignments

Changing Settings

  1. Tap the Profile icon (person) in bottom navigation
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Adjust language, theme, or notifications
  4. Changes take effect immediately

Contacting Support

  1. Tap the Profile icon (person) in bottom navigation
  2. Tap "Contacts"
  3. Find the appropriate contact
  4. Tap the phone number to call

Home Screen Features

  • Terminal status and turnaround time
  • Upcoming lane times (zones)

Visit Screen Features

  • Real-time booking information

Tips for Success

Stay Informed

  • Check the Home Screen regularly for terminal status
  • Read terminal messages promptly
  • Watch for notifications and alerts

During Visits

  • Keep the app visible on the Visit tab
  • Follow Action Message instructions immediately
  • Don't ignore vibrations - check for new instructions
  • Note your lane assignment

Manage Your Account

  • Keep contact information current
  • Update your profile picture
  • Customize settings to your preference
  • Submit feedback to improve the app

Stay Connected

  • Maintain internet connectivity when possible
  • Check messages and announcements regularly

Troubleshooting

App Not Loading Data

  • Check your internet connection
  • Pull down to refresh (if supported)
  • Close and reopen the app
  • Check for app updates

Can't Sign In

  • Verify your email and password
  • Check internet connection
  • Try resetting your password
  • Contact support if issues persist

Missing Bookings

  • Make sure you're on the correct tab (Upcoming vs Completed vs Cancelled)
  • Pull down to refresh
  • Contact your dispatcher to verify bookings

Not Receiving Notifications

  • Check Settings > Notifications
  • Ensure notifications are enabled for the app
  • Check your device's notification settings

App Crashes

  • Close and reopen the app
  • Check for and install updates
  • Restart your device
  • Report through Feedback if persistent
